FERVENT PRAYER—ARE YOU ABOUT TO GIVE BIRTH?

I love the one-sentence prayers that bring significant breakthrough. However, some things are held back until there is fervent prayer. I don't believe the fervent prayer is to persuade God. The fervent prayer is to change and shape us.
Hannah prayed this kind of prayer in 1 Samuel 1. Her anguish of soul led her to make a covenant with God as she prayed for a son. God gave her a son, Samuel, whom she gave back to Him. Samuel was used powerfully by God, so much so, that it was said of him that God let none of his words fall to the ground. After Samuel was born, God rewarded Hannah's faithfulness with more sons and daughters.
Paul likened this kind of fervent prayer unto labor and giving birth in Galatians 4. Something to notice is that labor pains don't create the baby, the baby causes the labor pains, indicating that the birth is near. Maybe you are in pain because you are carrying something that is about to be born. Perhaps the anguish of soul as you pray is evidence that the promise is near.
There is a call on us in this season to earnest prayer. We are seeing this call being released around the world, and I believe that this mantle for prayer is the evidence that something needs to be birthed. Will you respond to this call?
